Rise and fall.
There seems to be a growing number of blogs which ‘help’ original photographers promote their work.
I’ve been thinking for a while that they may not necessarily have the original photographers interests at heart and are more interested in building a huge following to then exploit in the future.
Lensblr who were one of the first of these types that I followed now need $6k to continue their good work! What? Why? I don’t understand, maybe there’s an easy explanation to all of this but it doesn’t smell right to me.
I think I’m going to review who I follow and maybe trim back some of these curators.
I like discovering interesting art and photography, I don’t think I need to rely on these blogs for that anymore.
I probably have far more followers than I could follow back but maybe I should try harder to look through them and find interesting original material.
Perhaps you can help? Just send £10 to me and I’ll check out your blog! (Joke)
Send me no money now and I will be able to continue posting photos and stuff!
